What we are doing at the Butler House to address COVID-19

Stay Safe at Butler House
The Butler House is committed to the safety and well-being of our guests and staff. Below are just a few of the new protocols added specifically to address COVID-19.
  • We have increased the frequency of cleaning to our public areas with disinfectants proven to kill the virus. We are also dedicated to deep cleaning rooms between guests to ensure that all door handles, TV remotes, cabinets, toilet seats & handles, light switches, and other hard surfaces are cleaned above standard.
  • We have limited reservation capacity to 3 rooms, max 6 guests total, so that our common areas are more spacious and can better support social distancing.
  • We have arranged breakfast seating so physically separated, and encourage staggered start times with breakfast being served between 8-10 am.
  • We have added a bottle of hand sanitizer for each guest in the room as a gift, and another located at the house entry.
  • We encourage "Know Before You Go," meaning you should get tested and receive test results in your home state before traveling. 
  • We ask each guest to complete a brief health questionnaire at check in. Guests who are experiencing or have been exposed to another person with any symptoms of COVID-19 within the last 14 days will not be permitted to stay.
  • We ask you to self-isolate and let us know immediately if someone in your party becomes sick.
  • We will maintain a guest log to support tracing should anyone become infected. At this time, only registered guests are allowed inside the building or on the grounds. No outside visitors will be permitted.
  • We ask parties traveling together or guest staying here alone to remain safe and maintain 6' or more personal distance on the property when possible from those not in their party.  Guests should wear face coverings in common areas if unable to maintain social distancing between parties unless seated or outdoors.  These rules are consistent with any public setting currently in NY.      
  • We have adopted a 100% refund policy should you have to cancel for COVID-19 reasons. Rest assured that if you make a reservation and cancel for COVID-19 reasons you will receive a full refund or, if you prefer, a credit voucher which can be applied towards a future stay, for which you'll receive a 10% lodging discount.

By staying at the Butler House, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 while traveling in the area. We will take all measures necessary to keep our property as safe and comfortable as possible for our guests amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but please understand that there is a shared responsibility between guests and the Butler House.
